Managing the delivery and daily operations for multiple complex projects responsible for the delivery of media that receives over 200 million play requests per month can be challenging at best. Imagine doing this and having your developer resource cut by a third!

In this session we talk about how, over the course of a year, we challenged ways of working for an ever shrinking team responsible for delivering media that receives over 200 million play requests per month. Our aim was to improve predictability of delivery without compromising software quality. This was achieved whilst continuously rolling out improvements and new capabilities to our service as well as providing 24/7 support.

Our main focus is on continuous delivery using kanban. We release to live approximately 30 times per week using various micro services.
We follow all the lean principles: 1. Eliminate Waste 5. Deliver Fast 2. Build Quality In 6. Respect People 3. Create Knowledge 7. Optimize the Whole 4. Defer Commitment

Me demander pas pourquoi les principes ne sont pas dans l’ordre, je n’en ai aucune idée :-) Un retour d’expérience d’une grosse société mais sans que cela soit une société française, nous achetons. Comme en France on retombe un peu toujours sur les mêmes, nous serons surpris si nous n’apprenons rien lors de cette session.
